Caldwell 17 & 18

Although seemingly unspectacular, these two galaxies Caldwell 17 (NGC 147) and Caldwell 18 (NGC 185) are of interest in that they are satellites of the much larger Great Nebula in Andromeda but lie about 7½° away from it in the sky.

This image is a total 2 hour exposure taken through a 5 inch telescope on September 21^st, 2023 from Eustis Ridge.
